EL BRITÁNICO DANIEL EVANS GANA EL PRIMER PREMIO EN EL XI CONCURSO INTERNACIONAL DE PIANO DE CAMPILLOS
Daniel Evans ha sido elegido ganador del XI Concurso Internacional de Piano de Campillos. El jurado acordó conceder a este joven pianista británico de 22 años el primer premio de esta edición, dotado con 4.000 euros y recitales en importantes salas y festivales de España. El segundo premio, dotado con 2.000 euros, fue para Florian Feilmair, de Austria. El japonés Shotaro Nishimura se hizo con el tercer premio, por el que percibió 1.000 euros.
Juan Lago, pianista campillero y director artístico del concurso, presidió el jurado, que tuvo como vocales a Daniel Ábalos (España), Yuanxizi Li (China), Valerio Premuroso (Italia), Philippe Raskin (Bélgica), Antonio Ortiz (España), Myrthala Salazar (México) y Krystian Tkaczewski (Polonia), todos ellos profesionales de reconocido prestigio en el mundo del piano y de la música. Florian Feilmair fue distinguido con el premio especial del público, otorgado tras la votación del público asistente en la prueba final. Por su parte, Álvaro Baltanás se llevó el galardón al mejor pianista español del concurso.
Daniel Evans interpretó en la final el concierto nº 2 en Fa menor op. 21 de Chopin. Florian Feilmair compitió en la final con el concierto nº 5 en Mi bemol Mayor op. 73 de Beethoven. Shotaro Nishimura interpretó el concierto nº 21 en Do Mayor K.467 de Mozart.
Estos tres pianistas accedieron a la final tras superar una primera fase y una dura semifinal celebradas entre el miércoles y el viernes y en las que participaron pianistas de España, Japón, Corea del Sur, Italia, Ucrania, Rusia, Alemania, Bielorrusia, Estados Unidos, Portugal, China, Francia, Austria, Turquía, Australia, Taiwán, Georgia, Canadá, Chile, Azerbaiyán, Malasia, Brasil, Rumanía y Reino Unido.
“Un año más no podemos dejar de resaltar el altísimo nivel pianístico de los participantes. La calidad de las interpretaciones ha sido excelente, al nivel de los concursos más importantes que hay en el mundo. Por supuesto, la presencia de la Orquesta Sinfónica Provincial de Málaga en la gran final ha hecho que adquiera una relevancia y una categoría nunca vistas hasta ahora en nuestro concurso. Esta edición supone, por tanto, un punto de inflexión para el Concurso Internacional Piano de Campillos y por ello esperamos seguir contando en futuras ediciones con la colaboración de la Diputación Provincial y de esta magnífica orquesta”, ha afirmado el director artístico del concurso, Juan Lago.
El alcalde de Campillos, Francisco Guerrero, y la concejala de Cultura, María Isabel Domínguez, reiteraron el compromiso del Ayuntamiento de Campillos en seguir fortaleciendo e impulsando el Concurso Internacional Piano de Campillos y agradecieron el importante apoyo recibido de Kawai, Shigeru Kawai, Clemente Pianos, Polimúsica, Diputación Provincial de Málaga, Unicaja, La Caixa, Procavi y Transportes Trialca, y de los colaboradores Restaurante La Perdiz, Hostal San Francisco, Restaurante Yerbagüena, Restaurante Paula y Bar La Esquina.
The grand finale of the XI International Piano Competition Campillos
The grand finale of the XI International Piano Competition in Campillos will feature the presence of the Provincial Symphony Orchestra of Malaga
The Town Hall of Campillos, through its Department of Culture and Education, has launched the ‘XI International Piano Competition Campillos.’ This event will be held in the auditorium of the I. E. S. ‘Camilo José Cela’ from 6 to 10 December 2017 and pianists of any nationality and without limitation of age. Participation will not be allowed to the winners of the First Prize of the previous editions and to official or private students of the members of the jury at present or with an antecedence of up to two years. The main novelty of this edition will be the presence in the grand final of the contest of the Provincial Symphonic Orchestra of Malaga, which will increase the depth and prestige of this already consolidated piano competition.
For this reason, this year only three contestants will enter the final and each of them will perform a concert for piano and orchestra among those selected by the organization of the contest.
‘One more year we maintain our intention to continue incorporating improvements and making this important international piano competition an event of higher pianistic and musical level.
The presence of the orchestra in the final will give it a greater relevance and elevates it to the height of competitions that enjoy an international prestige that is well recognized ‘, explains the Councilor for Culture, María Isabel Domínguez.
The competition will consist of a pre-selection, a first phase, a semifinal and a final test, the last three of a public nature.
